Privacy Policy
This Privacy Policy explains how SolViewer ("we", "us" or "our") handles information when you use the tools and services available at solviewer.site (the "Service"). By using the Service you agree to the practices described below.
SolViewer is designed to be as private as possible. The core tools — View Source, SEO Checker, Header Checker and related analyzers — require no account and store nothing about you between sessions.
1. Data We Collect
Information you provide
SolViewer does not require you to create an account or provide any personal information to use any of its tools. You may optionally submit:
- A public URL or pasted HTML to analyze.
- Text you enter into free-tool inputs (e.g. meta description, page title for SERP preview).
We do not associate this input with any personal identifier. Input submitted to the Service is used solely to generate the result you requested and is not stored after your session ends.
Information collected automatically
Like most web services, our servers automatically receive standard technical information when you make a request:
- Your IP address (used to route the request; not logged persistently).
- HTTP request metadata: browser type, operating system, referring URL, date and time of request.
- Pages visited and features used, in aggregate form only.
Analytics
We may use a privacy-respecting analytics service to measure aggregate usage patterns such as which tools are most popular, total visitor counts and browser breakdown. This data is anonymous and cannot be used to identify you individually.
2. How We Use Data
We use the information described above to:
- Operate and deliver the Service, including fetching and analyzing the URLs you submit.
- Monitor performance, diagnose errors and improve reliability.
- Understand which features are useful so we can prioritize development.
- Comply with legal obligations.
We do not sell, rent or share any data with third parties for marketing purposes. We do not build profiles of individual users.
3. Third Parties
To deliver certain features, SolViewer may interact with third-party services:
- Proxy / fetch layer. When you request that we fetch a URL, an outbound HTTP request is made from our servers to the target domain. That domain's servers will receive the request, including a standard user-agent header identifying SolViewer.
- Hosting infrastructure. We use cloud hosting providers to run our servers. These providers process requests in accordance with their own data-processing agreements.
- Analytics. If we use a third-party analytics provider, it is configured to anonymize IP addresses and not set persistent cross-site tracking cookies.
We do not embed social media tracking pixels, advertising networks or affiliate tracking on the Service.
4. Cookies & Local Storage
SolViewer uses no third-party tracking cookies. We may set first-party items to improve your experience:
- Theme preference. Your chosen light/dark theme is saved in
localStorageso it persists across sessions. This data never leaves your device. - Session state. Temporary in-memory state is used during a tool session (e.g. to hold a source result while you switch views). This is not persisted to disk or transmitted.
5. Your Rights
Because SolViewer does not collect or store personal data linked to your identity, most traditional privacy-rights requests (access, rectification, erasure) do not apply in the conventional sense — there is simply nothing to retrieve or delete.
If you believe we have inadvertently collected information about you, please contact us at the address below and we will investigate promptly.
Residents of the European Economic Area (EEA), United Kingdom and California have additional rights under GDPR, UK GDPR and CCPA respectively. To the extent those laws apply to our processing of your data, we honor those rights. Please contact us with any request.
6. Data Security
We implement reasonable technical and organizational measures to protect data processed by the Service, including HTTPS encryption for all connections and access controls on our infrastructure. However, no internet transmission is completely secure, and we cannot guarantee the absolute security of any data in transit.
7. Children
SolViewer is not directed at children under 13 years of age, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from anyone under 13. If you believe a child has submitted personal information through the Service, please contact us and we will take appropriate steps.
8. Policy Changes
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. When we do, we will revise the "Last updated" date at the top of the page. Continued use of the Service after a change constitutes acceptance of the updated policy. We encourage you to review this page periodically.
